About our Founder

Abdul Muin was a pioneering guide who founded the Tutik Rinjani Trekker and Backpacker Rinjani. He worked as a guide in Mount Rinjani National Park and as a tour operator to climb Rinjani. Abdul Muin is known for his humanitarian work as a rescue team on Mount Rinjani. He is married and has 2 children Tutik and Sanny.

Abdul Muin was born on December 31, 1977 in Sembalun, east of Lombok. His full name was Abdul Muin and most people call him Amaq Tutik (Father of Tutik).

At 15 year old he works as a porter and since 1996 he has been a guide on Mount Rinjani. He has learned English from the tourists who have come to climb Rinjanj since he has been a porter. Long experienced as a porter and guide, he founded the tour and excursion company Tutik Rinjani Trekker and Backpacker Rinjani and also ran a simple 4 bedroom family in Sembalun.

He is now busy organizing his client to climb Rinjani, but at one point he also led the large group of climbers to Mount Rinjani and Mount Tambora on Sumbawa Island.
